When you are searching for the best accommodation always read the comments from people who have stayed in the past.
This is the best way to judge what to expect.
Most owners will always give an inflated view of their own properties.
We rely on others to do that for us.

Note

Please note we do not allow unauthorised Tuk Tuks and taxis into the property.
We have had a number of occassions when Tuk Tuks and taxis claiming to know the way to our place.
They convieniently get lost and end up charging people far more than the quoted fare.
Our own transfer vehicles and drivers have been with us for years and we trust them completely.
N.B. Tuk Tuks and motor bikes are a vry dangerous form of transport in 3rd world countries.

As from 1st Feb 2024

15 minutes drive to all the hustle and bustle of Diani Beach where you can get anything you want.  

Banks, supermarkets, golf course, and many Bars & Restaurants.
Sabine or myself often go to Diani and if we are going and have room you are welcome to tag along. No charge.

Shopping
Our accommodation is self catering so remember to do your shopping as you never know what remains in the house from previous guests.

However should you wish we have a third party shopping service that can do all your shopping and deliver to the house.

This is great if you are arriving by air at odd times or just wish to have it all done for you.

They charge (€30) for the service.

You can pay for all when you arrive.
This is really only for arrivals not for when you are here.
When here and you have spoken to the chef re your requirements just send him out to do your shopping.

Chef

Both main villas come with chef included in the price.
If you would like a private chef for the Honeymoon Tent the costs are €15 per day and you pay him direct.

Chef can do pretty much what you want. He is your personal butler/chef.

We can order prawns, crabs, calamari or fish, lobster as well but not always available.
Must be ordered one day in advance as we do not buy frozen seafood.

Safaris

Sabine and I have been in Kenya for a sum total of over 80 years and we always take our Safaris to Satao Camp in Tsavo.

The camp is only 4 hours drive from our home.

The camp was organised, friendly and as comfortable as we remembered.
It has a really lovely atmosphere and the staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant.
Our game drives were exceptional.
Our driver, Timothy, from Southern Cross, was outstanding.
He was a safe and very experienced driver and his knowledge of the wildlife was incomparable.
I would highly recommend him to everyone.
He was also polite, helpful and went out of his way to
find game we hadn’t seen and in the end we saw everything we could have wanted.

Day 1 Nairobi – Tsavo East National Park
Pick up from a city hotel, transfer to Nairobi Train station for scheduled
morning Train to Voi Train Station (Dept.08h00 Arr.12h02)
Pick up from Voi Train station by Open 4x4 vehicle and enjoy game
drive en-route to the camp. Lunch followed by a short Siesta in your tents.
Afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 2 – Tsavo East National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives in Tsavo East National Park.

Catch scheduled train to Mombasa (Dept.1208 Arr.1400) Pick up on arrival

There are many activities you can pursue on the South Coast.

Diving, kiting, windsurfing, stand up paddle boards and much more.

Very near the villa is Starfish Island which is probably the most popular of all short day trips only a 10 minute walk away.

Also very near are the famous Tiwi Rock pools.

Pilli Pipa Dhow Safari operates a snorkelling and diving dhow safari to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park on the South Coast.
They are dedicated conservationists, and are highly regarded for quality of service and safety.
Extremely high chances of spotting dolphins.
You can choose to dive with them or just go snorkelling.
Their equipment is top quality and comprehensive.
All levels of experience.
A lunch of mangrove crab and freshly caught fish is served with drinks in their own private garden on Wasini Island.

Their prices include pick up and return to your villa.
Eco Tourism at it’s best. Highly recommended.

Deep Sea Fishing

Whalesharks & dolphin expeditions

Between January and March Tiwi, Diani and Chale Island is visited by the worlds largest fish, the whale shark.
Whale Shark Adventures organize daily research expeditions and invite members from the public to participate.
Whale sharks and dolphins are searched for using a spotter airplane, once found the pilot and spotter guides the boats to the whale sharks.
After a photo ID has been made you are welcome to join in and snorkel next to one of these gentle giants, an adventure of a lifetime!
Cost is $220 per person, duration: 4 hours, 08:00-12:00.

15k South from Mombasa on the road to Diani there is the Kombani, the Kwale Junction.

Another 2 k along the same road is the turn off to Hillpark Hotel on the left.

Go down this dirt road for 2.2k and you will come to a T Junction.

Turn right and our road is 800 meters further on at the end of the walls.

Turn left and 800 meters down to the beach you will come to our gate at the bottom of the hill. (Last 50 meters bad road)

Sound your horn and the Askari will open the gate and direct you to your accommodation.
